Birthday & Vegas

For the past four years the Tranter's have taken a trip down to Vegas to watch the Cougars play in the Vegas Bowl. This has become one of my favorite trips and I secretly pray that BYU goes to Vegas every year. Dave and I headed down a day early to celebrate my birthday and also to have one little last getaway before the baby comes. I woke up that morning to a feast prepared by Dave and then he gave me my present. The first year or so we were married, we saw this painting and I told Dave that since I was a little girl I've always dreamed of having that painting in my nursery. I haven't thought much of it, but he remembered and surprised me.

I guess they just recently stopped printing this painting so Dave had to arrange to get the last copy up in Clinton....what a guy! I about teared up when I opened it, I never would have thought he'd remember.



When we got to Vegas, we ate at a little cafe in the hotel. We had a freakin sweet waiter, Martin, who surprised me with his skills and brought me out the masterpiece above.



We spent Friday walking around to the different hotels. Who knew that walking for a few hours could be so exhausting....the joys of pregnancy.

We checked out the amazing Christmas decor at the Bellagio. The reindeer were made out of pecans.



And they had these huge ornaments hanging everywhere. It was awesome.





Of course for me the highlight of any trip is the food. We always hit up a Vegas buffet and I wish I had a video I could show of Dave eating king crab, it really is something you must witness in person. And no trip is complete without a trip to In'N'Out, my personal favorite. The manager told us we can expect 8 new locations in and around Salt Lake next year....best news I've ever heard!

I didn't get any pictures of the BYU game, go figure, however that was not one game I'd like to remember. Poor Cougs, there is always next year. Other then that, we had the greatest trip, thank you so much to the Tranters!
