Knox turns 2

My sweet little boy turned 2! I can't believe how much he's grown in the last year. He is OBSESSED with Thomas the Train, so pretty much that was all his birthday was. It was really low-key, and perfect! Knox and I started by making some play-dough and making his favorite creations...

Dad stayed home with Wes so that I could have a date with my favorite two-year-old! Knox and I went to Wendy's and got a kid's meal and shared a frosty. It was like celebrating both our birthdays!

We blew up some balloons and I made a cake while he was napping. My craftiness displayed in all of it's glory on this one! I thought Knox would love that I had put his trains on it, instead he was upset that they were on there...go figure.

This is his put-out look. He couldn't believe I asked him to take a picture. We don't consider a smile a success anymore, just getting him to look at the camera is a big deal.

And for the highlight, he finally got himself a train set!

Setting it up with Dad...

Knox is a crack-up right now. He says the funniest things and talks non-stop. For my memory...

Favorite things:
-Thomas
-Monkey George (Curious George)
-The Hungry Caterpillar book
- His pig, bunny, and caterpillar
- Oatmeal, beets and cereal

Funny things he does:
- Anything that he knows he shouldn't have or that he wants he calls a "cookie". For instance, he pulled out my chapstick and brought it to me and asked for the cookie.
- Anything liquid is milk. He'll see a lake and call it milk.
- He mimics everything
- Loves K$ShA's song on the radio, "We Are Who We Are". He sits in the back and sings the last word of every sentence.
-Still trying to figure out if he likes his brother, but freaks out if he isn't with us everywhere we go.

We love you Knox!!

That cake brought back memories! Aiden's third birthday cake was almost identical--complete with his Thomas and Percy--although I just did cool whip (exact same color of blue though) because I didn't want to make frosting (how lazy am I, ha, ha). Knox is such a cute, funny little man. So fun to hear what he's up to.
