Good news is my free time is devoted to researching and trying new gluten free products and recipes. I feel this qualifies as a legitimate hobby for 3 reasons...it takes up my free time, I eventually will get good at it, and the most qualifying reason is because it's expensive. Every hobby is expensive right? So for now I'm pretty ambitious, I'm even thinking of starting a new blog that reviews gluten free items and recipes because I now know what it's like to use your $15 small bag of gluten free flour on something that tastes like rocks. So here is to my new hobby, and my official eulogy to gluten now that I have gotten past the mourning stage. Gluten, you have treated me right for so many years. From my favorite donuts, to my love for cereal, and my addiction to chips and fries and all things breaded. You will be missed.
To leave it positive, at least my hobby will rid me of headaches, awful joint pain, and constant fatigue. Oh yeah, and "hopefully" make me healthier and skinnier, which I can't deny totally rocks!

Good luck!! Be sure to talk to Heather Holdaway since her & her kids can't have gluten - she probably has some great tips for you!!!
So kind of random. Just before I checked your blog I was reading my friend's blog who had a link to a blog that has gluten-free recipes. I am going to try the black brownies. Here's the link if you want to check it out:

Here's the direct link to the black brownies. My friend left out the coffee and mentioned that she had to put her black beans in the food processor since they weren't mashing well. Hopefully they taste as good as she says because I love brownies!

Great new hobby. You sound so positive about it all. Especially the expensive hobby part. funny! If you need more ideas for recipes check out this site http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/
She is all gluten free and all crockpot! Good luck with your new hobby!
Oh, Susie. You are so hillarious! I love reading your posts...so well-written. Sorry to hear of your new gluten-free diet but you are right, you've found yourself a new hobby. That totally counts. Good luck with it!
I will keep my eye out for more items free of gluten. I found a syrup I really like it is called Maple Grove Farms it is sugar free, low calorie and gluten free. I am not a big syrup person so it tastes almost the same to me. Good luck!
